VitaCare ® Mama Breastfeeding+ Omega 3 is an all-in-one product that contains exactly the nutrients you and your baby need.

The dietary supplement is formulated to meet Nordic nutritional recommendations and is based on the National Health Council's recommendations for breastfeeding mothers.

By taking a daily dose, you get 13 vitamins and 10 minerals in amounts tailored to your needs as a breastfeeding mother. You also get calcium, magnesium and Omega 3, which contains the important fatty acids DHA and EPA.

Included ingredients and their functions

  • Vitamin B12 ensures proper formation of red blood cells and proper cell division. B12 is released to the baby with breast milk.
  • B vitamins, i.e. B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6, contribute to the maintenance of normal energy metabolism.
  • Vitamin D. The body cannot produce vitamin D without sunlight. Vitamin D is used by the body to absorb and convert calcium, which is important for a baby's bone growth and development. A baby's vitamin D levels depend on the mother.
  • Iodine contributes to normal cognitive function. The need for iodine in breastfeeding women increases because iodine passes into the baby with breast milk.
  • Iron contributes to normal cell division and the formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin.
  • Calcium contributes to maintaining healthy bones and proper muscle function.
  • Fish oil with Omega3 and DHA, where DHA contributes to fetal brain and eye development. Up to 50% of the fetal brain is formed by the time of birth, where DHA fatty acid is an important nutrient. The fetus has difficulty metabolizing fatty acids, so DHA supplementation is important. The beneficial effects of DHA are achieved with a daily intake of >200mg of DHA.
