What is uric acid control?

Terminalia bellerica, an ancient Ayurvedic plant, has an edible fruit. In a clinical study, a tannin-rich extract from this fruit was shown to help maintain uric acid levels at healthy levels. This standardized extract from T. bellerica inhibits the enzyme xanthine oxidase, thereby modulating uric acid synthesis.
