Meditation incense

In Spanish, Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) means Sacred Tree, it grows abundantly in South America and has been used for centuries by shamans in ritual prayers, ceremonies and during healing, it has metaphysical and cleansing properties of negative energy, and the first references in accounts date back to the Inca tribe. The people of South America believe that cleansing themselves with Palo Santo smoke promotes a good life, brings good luck and attracts life's opportunities.

Legend has it that when the world was inhabited by a handful of people, the most virtuous of them - Cosakait - fell in love with a girl, who unfortunately did not reciprocate his feelings. The heartbroken man fell into an illness, which in turn brought him to his deathbed. Before he passed away, he promised to always be close to the girl he loved. Cosakait said he would decorate her head with flowers, chase away insects, and would also turn the water he touched with his mouth to have a sweet taste. A tree grew at the site of his burial, it had a delicate fragrance, and when it was burned, it gave off a more intense aroma. Legend has it that this was the Palo Santo - a symbol of love and longing for unfulfilled love. The Tobas tribe considered the tree sacred.

Palo santo

Light the tip of the incense, blow it out and go around the room, house or outline the figure to purify the aura from the bottom to the top, incense the object, etc. Then extinguish by suffocating or soaking the tip of the incense in water.

Burn incense in a well-ventilated room. Do not leave burning incense unattended and make sure it is completely extinguished before leaving the room. Store incense in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight, humidity and high temperatures. Keep incense in a tightly sealed container to preserve its freshness and fragrance for a longer period of time.
