Saccharomyces boulardii is one of the greatest success stories in the history of probiotics. This strain of non-pathogenic yeast was discovered by French microbiologist Henri Boulardii in 1920 in the skin of lychee fruit. It is considered an ideal synbiotic during antibiotic treatment, as well as during foreign travel.

Viridian's Saccharomyces boulardii synbiotic additionally contains five strains of the good bacteria Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria plus prebiotics. The unique prebiotic FS2-60 offers a full spectrum of plant-based prebiotic oligosaccharides and inulin. FS2-60 is not digested, but is utilized by the bacterial flora increasing the colonization of beneficial strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria, while reducing unfriendly species.

The human gut is home to a huge population of bacteria and is filled with about 100 billion good bacteria . This number is 10 times the number of cells in the human body. Thus, beneficial bacteria affect not only the health of the digestive system, but also the entire body.

1 -2 capsules twice a day. For planned travel, 1 capsule per day for five days before travel, then 1 capsule per day each day of travel.
