How to perform a Gua Sha massage?
The stone plate massage should be performed along the meridians, or lines connecting acupuncture points on the face. According to traditional Chinese medicine, these are the channels through which life-giving Qi energy travels. Gua Sha massage, through Qi stimulation, restores harmony to the body and mind, and helps the skin regain its lost elasticity and healthy glow. You will carry it out as follows: Warm 3-4 drops of Moon Drops serum in your hands and gently massage it onto your face and neck. Briefly close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to smell its soothing fragrance. Reach for the Gua Sha stone holding it from the convex side and begin a draining massage. To begin, focus on the neck - lightly pressing the plate against the skin, guide it in a downward- upward direction. Move on to massage the jaw, heading from the chin towards the temples. Pay special attention to the point near the ear where the jaw joins the temples - this is the place where most tension accumulates. Time for the cheeks - move Gua Sha from the center of the face outward. Be sure to thoroughly massage the nasolabial furrow and the area under the eyes, which will help reduce dark circles and puffiness. Finally, massage your eyebrows and forehead, which will act as a natural lift for these areas.
