"Koji ginga" - is how the Japanese refer to the ingredient in our dietary supplement. It is ginger root fermented in a 4-step process. This results in a product that brilliantly supports the health of our body.

Why choose a dietary supplement with fermented ginger?

Terranova's dietary supplement contains ginger processed through two different processes to best reflect its properties. Each capsule contains the patented ingredient Ferzinger™. The root undergoes a traditional fermentation process that uses the Koji fungus (Aspergillus oryzae). This alters the content of various ginger chemical compounds and changes the flavor1. The contents of the capsule are supplemented with freeze-dried fresh ginger.

Is the ginger fermentation process safe?

Although the fermentation process itself using Koji is nearly two thousand years old, Ferzinger™ is extracted in a fully controlled environment. The sliced ginger is sterilized and then inoculated with the Koji fungus. Once Koji has finished fermenting the ginger, the resulting product is sterilized again and turned into an easy-to-use powder. Conditions are fully controlled, with no access of the ingredient to the external environment (and the associated risk of contamination by undesirable microbes). In Japan, ginger obtained in this way is called "koji ginga."
