Normally, when you dry your hair, the air stream from the dryer carries ions that interact with the surface of the hair: negative ions remove charge and positive ions add charge - all of which affect frizz, smoothness and shine.

Thanks to ionic bonding technology, negative and positive ions combine with each other, which create a field of protective ions on the hair and arrange into a fine network. When the ions are bound, they neutralize static electricity in the hair and produce an ionic balance that protects the hair and leaves it silky smooth.
