Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid that is not used for protein synthesis, but is mainly found in free form in most tissues, especially in the nervous system. It functions in tissues by stabilizing cell membranes, aiding in the transport of potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium into and out of cells.

Taurine helps generate and regulate nerve impulses and helps maintain fluid balance; it is also used by the body in visual pathways, as well as in the brain and nervous system, where it acts together with glycine and GABA as a neurotransmitter. This product has twice as much Taurine (1000 mg) as in our regular strength product (500 mg).

Not made with wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients. Manufactured in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.

Directions Take 1 capsule 1 to 2 times a day with juice or water, preferably between meals.
