Ceremonial matcha is the highest grade of matcha tea. It is traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies - an elaborate ritual in which the host treats guests to the highest quality matcha, sometimes with sweets, which can last several hours. Ceremonial matcha can only be made in Japan, from the youngest leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Erbology brand tea comes from the Kyoto region.Matcha is well known for its impressive health benefits. It contains catechins that fight free radicals and oxidative stress.
